Overview
Greenland: Your next vacation destination! is a booklet that informs readers about the unique cultural aspects of the country. It includes an introduction to Greenland’s background as a country, a recipe for the traditional food suaasat, recommendations for hot springs to visit, and an explanation of the festival Mitaarneq. This booklet was created to drive tourism to Greenland as much of their modern economy is built on visiting tourists.
Solution
To evoke Greenland’s icy glaciers and deep oceans, shades of blue were utilized in the booklet design. Texture was added to the illustrations on the suaasat and Mitaarneq spreads to call back to the rocky mountains that surround Greenland’s vast oceans. The book was designed to be appealing and spark curiosity to persuade travelers to choose Greenland as their “next vacation destination.”
